Explorations
Understand before building.
Our exploration axes and the questions that guide our projects. This is a structured exploratory approach, not an academic research lab.
Approach
Understand → Experiment → Document.
Understand
The problems we study, the technologies we explore and the hypotheses we test. Tech watch, publications, state of the art.
Experiment
Working prototypes, demos, proofs of concept, code repositories and documentation.
Document
Technical notes, comparisons, experiment write-ups, benchmarks and reports.
Exploration axes
Five open questions.
Five fields of exploration, not five teams. The example projects are leads, at the Idea stage.
NO//MOUSE
What if we could interact with a computer without a mouse or keyboard?
Exploring gesture interfaces, hand-movement recognition and new ways of controlling machines.
Example project
A web interface controlled by gestures detected with a webcam.
EMBODIED//AGENT
What if an AI agent had a physical presence?
Exploring where artificial intelligence, robotics and physical interaction meet.
Example project
A small robot with an AI agent, sensors, LEDs and servomotors, able to communicate its state and react to its surroundings.
BODY//CTRL
What if our body became a control interface?
Exploring body movement as a way to interact with digital or physical systems.
Example project
A system for controlling a robot or an app with body movements.
ACCESS//CTRL
How can technology be made accessible to different abilities and ways of interacting?
Exploring adaptive interfaces, alternative controls and customizable ways of interacting.
Example project
A customizable physical controller for operating a digital interface with buttons or alternative controls.
Exploratory prototypes, with no medical purpose and no claim of clinical effectiveness.
INTERACTIVE//SPACE
What if an environment could sense and react to people's presence?
Exploring responsive environments, interactive installations and interactions between people, objects and spaces.
Example project
An installation whose lights or visuals react to visitors' movements and presence.
BUILD// — Transversal
What we learn to build.
The BUILD// team runs across all five axes without being limited to them: we learn the technical foundations for their own sake, then reuse them in more ambitious projects.
AI & Agents
Intelligent agents, multi-agent systems, AI tools, orchestration.
Robotics
Mobile robots, autonomous systems, interactive robotics.
Embedded Systems
ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers.
Electronics
Sensors, actuators, circuits, electronic components.
Computer Vision
Recognizing gestures, objects, movement and surroundings.
Software Development
Python, C++, JavaScript, APIs, interfaces and software architecture.
Prototyping
Hardware/software integration, experimentation and testing.
An ESP32 workshop, a first robot or an AI agent with tools don't need an interaction project to exist. See the technical workshops →
